End of Year 2008 Activities and New Years!

I decided I was going to post up some pictures for the family to see. I hadn't updated in quite sometime, so this is a little bit of a summary of what we've been up to. I'm back at school this semester taking 15 credits, and Dave's back, also, taking 12 credits and working like crazy! We got our car wrapped (like, decals all over it), so I'm going to have to take a picture of it and post it to let yall see it. It looks so great! We're done with the diabetic shoes job (the company has bad management and communication skills, so we decided we were done with the stress of trying to talk/get a hold of them). We still have the vending machines that we're trying to refine down to just the amazing locations. We are starting to get a lot of attention with Happy Pets, so we are trying to put our main focus on that. I'm still working at In-N-Out (got my Level 5 raise about a month ago), and Dave occasionally does the teeth, also. So we're very busy-bodies, but trying to get ahead before we get stuck in a lot of "necessary" payments. So here's the pics!

I forgot to put the first 2 pictures in the right order (I meant to have them at the end), so just ignore the part where it doesn't tie in with the other times of year. I trust you can figure it out.

So I realize this pic might LOOK bad, but it isn't. We were making fun of Dave and I and how we each had our own Martinelli bottles for New Years. We tend to do that, I like my flavors and he likes his, so we buy our own and drink straight from the bottle. No need for an occasion! haha.

Hangin out by the firepit in the backyard (Deanna and Eric's Christmas present from us) on New Years.

It snowed like CRAZY this Christmas!!! (Well, like a couple of weeks before). A crazy snowstorm came through and dumped a ton of snow on us! They say it was the most Vegas had gotten in 30 years! I think we got around 5 inches, but some parts got up to 8+ inches! It was crazy! We got out the boogie board and started sledding down the front lawn. Eric also got out his snowboard and tried to snowboard down the driveway (it worked pretty well). I was able to get a nice start on the boogie board and coast all the way down the driveway to the middle of the street! It was so awesome!

Megan stopped by to see us in Vegas! She came down for a country concert and was so amazing enough to make sure she dropped by! Dave and I miss our "baby bear" (as Dave would call her). She's awesome.

So the Hardy family has a "Hardy Party" every Christmas. They do a nativity play, but Mary Alice (M.A.) always has costumes for every single person, even for Dave, the donkey. Doesn't he make an amazing donkey? I couldn't be more proud. haha

Ok, so I thought this picture of Gracie and Natalie was TOO CUTE! I didn't take it (Josh did), but I think it's the most cutest thing ever! We were at the playa lake, feeding the Canadian Geese that migrate to Lubbock, and these girls loved it! Natalie kept chasing them all the way until they flew into the water!

Again, didn't take this picture, but, again, so cute! Jenny's with all the nieces and nephews! Zack and Natalie on the left, with Kyle sitting in Jenny's lap, and Ashley and Gracie on the right. They are all so adorable!

This is my man Christmas morning....yep....I know, I'm one lucky gal. =)

Ashley, Zack, and Natalie Christmas morning. We are all waiting upstairs until the parents are ready, so we can run down and see the amazing-ness of Christmas and all that my parents do for us!

More of the family together. Dave, me (holding Kyle), Cheri, Heather, Ashley, Zack, Natalie, and Grace.

I had to have Zack show me his AWESOME pj's, complete with a batman cape and all!!!

The kids running down the stairs. It was funny because Gracie got really upset that Santa had left! As some of you know, Cheri & Chris live in North Pole, Alaska now, and it's Christmas all year round there! So Gracie has felt she has become great friends with Santa. So, obviously she's upset that he didn't stick around to say hi Christmas morning. So cute!

So we went to Rudy's BBQ while in Texas. We wanted to get a shot of how they served you the food. You basically told them how many pounds you wanted of what meat, and how much you wanted of your sides (creamed corn, red potatoes, potato salad). Then they threw all the meat in a bin-type thing, weighed it, and gave it to you like that. Sort of like a buffet style type of eating, but not until you're at your table! The food was sooo good though! I love me some BBQ!

So, while we were visiting my fam in Texas, my aunt Julie was amazing and asked a friend if we could ride their horses. So we made sure Dave (and some others) looked the part! Isn't he so handsome?

There are those studdly cowboys, Dave and Todd. Yall should do that look more often!

Yay! I'm riding again! I've missed it so much. It is such a different feeling being on a horse. You feel so free. I love it!

Todd just looks so natural. Ye-haw!

There goes Ashley, riding by herself!

My Davey-cakes.

There's Zack riding all by himself, too! He's only 4! I was impressed how well he did, too!

Yeah, Jenny, you show that horse who's boss!

Look at Dave go!

Laura on the horsie!

So we had all the family over for New Years Eve. We decided to bring out the old school Nintendo and running mat. We played the track game for a while. The kids loved it! We had to make rules though (like no cheating by running with your hands)!

This is Makenna and Steph racing!

It was so awesome getting to see the entire family over the Christmas break! This was a family picture we all took at church, the same day little Kyle Gerwig got blessed! I love my family!
