Birthday pics and Christmas! Yay!

So Dave took me to Geisha House, which is a steak and sushi restaurant, for my birthday (I know...my birthday was a while ago...oh well). It was one of those places where they cook the food at a grill right at your table. It was fun and yummy!

A couple of days after my birthday, Steph, Darren, and their boys, Cameron, Cole, and Caden invited us over for a "birthday dinner" at their house. Dinner was really good! We had pork roast. Also, they made me a carrot cake for dessert. It was super nice to get a cake because I didn't actually have one for my birthday (I did get some ice cream and fried bananas at our dinner, but still no cake). So, this is a cute little collage Steph did for me:

So how do yall like my new background? I didn't know how to change the background on this thing, and was curious on how everyone had cute backgrounds and where they were getting them from! Deanna was kind enough to show me how and where to find them! Yay! So now, maybe, my blog will be more fun and pleasing to the eye!
School is awesome because IT'S OVER...for now! I believe I did really well on my tests. I won't know what grade I got for sure until Tuesday...but I feel good about them. I'm glad school's out for now. Only a year-and-a half left! haha.
Doug, Dawn & their kids are coming down this next week! Yay! It'll be fun to have them here. Dave's actually going to be heading to Utah on Monday (tomorrow) night to fit some diabetics with orthopedic shoes (one of our many jobs). There has been a few storms going on lately between here and there, so I hope his drive goes well. And then next week, we're off to Texas! I hear it's been snowing there, so that'll be fun. It's just gotten to a point where I'm really cold when I go outside (last week, I was still walking around with a light jacket on, if I needed one at all!), so that'll be a change. I'm sure it's cold down there! We'll make sure to take lots of pics so we can post them on here. I know how much people like pictures! We're bad at taking them now, but we'll work on it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!! We love you all and can't wait to see everyone! Yay!

Halloween Pics and My Birthday! Yay!

Alright, so I'm going to attempt to add pictures to this blog, so we'll see how it goes...

So Halloween was fun. Dave & I dressed up, but it wasn't as elaborate as our first Halloween together. Nonetheless, it was fun. I was the "Sock Monster". You know when you dry your clothes, but never seem to be able to find the matches to your socks? (Well, I don't have that problem because my socks can't be confused with another pair.) So yeah, I was the monster that stole your socks from the dryer. Dave was a robber. He wore panty hose on his head and made a TV out of cardboard, and it looked pretty good!

These pics were all taken at our Ward Trunk-or-treat. There was another member there dressed as Batman, so this is the pic we came up with:

After that, we carved pumpkins with Deanna, Eric, Courtney, Darren, Steph, Cameron, Cole, Caden, and Dan, Danielle, Alli, and Aubrey. It was so fun having everyone together!

Dave liked playing in the pumpkin seeds, haha. He was actually picking out the seeds to make a nice snack for later (it's something Eric does, it's pretty good!)

This was Dave's pumpkin:

And mine. I was very proud of how good it came out.

So that was Halloween. My birthday was fun. I had to go to school and work, so it didn't feel much like my birthday until my work sang to me. Then it felt more like it. Later, Dave took me out to eat at Geisha's Steakhouse. It's one of those Hibachi grills where they cook your food out in front of you at the table. It was very nice. Later, Dave paid Eric (who is a licensed massage therapist) to give me an hour long massage, which was VERY needed! So my birthday was very nice and relaxing. I have been recovering from being sick, so I had a hoarse voice that was recovering as well as a cough, a headache, and some sinus stuff. So that part wasn't fun, but, again, the massage made everything better, especially the headache! =)
I was going to run a 10k this morning, but because of being pretty sick, I decided to not do it and try to recover first, before I do anything like that. Deanna and Darren did it, though. Darren's time was apparantly like, 57 or 58 mins and Deanna's was 1 hour, 10 mins. That's pretty good! I figured I'd probably gotten the same time as Deanna! Maybe next time I can try it and see!
So that's about it. As far as posting pictures on this thing, it sucks. You have to post all the pictures first and then write around them. It's a little annoying I can't post while I'm writing. Oh well...what can ya do? If you have any comments on how to make it easier, please let me know! haha. The less stress, the better!

Our fun weekend!

So Saturday (yesterday), I ran a 5K with a bunch of my family here. Deanna and I have been working out together and she found out of this 5k going on, so she got a bunch of clients she trained and signed us all up to run. Me, Dave, Deanna, Danielle, and Danielle's mother-in-law Wendy all ran the 5K. Steph and her 3 boys, Cameron, Caden, and Cole, Mary Alice, Danielle's father-in-law Bob, and Wendy's sister all did the 1 mile walk. Cameron actually was supposed to do the 1 mile walk, but accidentally ran the whole 3.2 miles!!! He actually did pretty well, though, but it was pretty funny! Dave and I finished the race at 30 minutes, 10 seconds. I found out later that they were giving out medals to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place people in the different age groups. I was 13 seconds behind the 3rd place medal for my age group, women 20-25! The 3rd place was 29 minutes, 57 seconds!!! I was annoyed because I didn't even know medals would be given out like that! They gave out cash prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall, but I wasn't aware there were going to be medals for other people. So next year, you better believe I'm going to get that medal! Wendy got a medal though for her age group (I think it was women 50-55). She ran the 5k in 28 minutes! I was way impressed!

Anyways, so that was basically what we did this weekend. Dave & I are both sore from running, but that only means we'll both give each other massages later, so I'm fine with that! It was fun, though. Deanna now wants us to do a half-marathon in December. I told her not to count on that. 5Ks are fun for me, but I can't imagine running 5 or so hours for a full marathon, much less half that time for a half marathon! That's when the run kindof goes away....

Darren took pictures for us, so as soon as I get them, I'll figure out how to post them! Love you all!

Yay life!

Okay, so first off...I just want to say...so far, life has been AMAZING this week. I got my 90% on a midterm last week. On my communications test, I got an A (I don't know the exact grade), and on my Accounting midterm, which I want to put in that this grade is HALF my total grade for the semester so I was pretty nervous about it, was a 100%!!!!!!!!!!!! The average grade for the test was 68.7! I am a genius!

Also, I got a raise at In-N-Out on Friday! (My level 3 raise). I'm halfway there to being manager!

So yeah, life is great right now.....that's all. Just wanted to post. Love yall!

Blah school...

So these past couple of weeks have been a little stressful. It's midterm time at UNLV, so I've been taking a few tests. I had one last week on Thursday (I got a 90%!) and 2 today - one in Accounting and one in Communications. I think I did pretty well on those 2, as well. So that's good. I have a Math test on Thursday next week, so hopefully that goes well! I also met with an academic advisor today and discussed with him my plan to graduate by May 2010. I think it is going to be a push...especially because I can't take some summer classes I need because of our family vacation to Alaska this summer...so if I can't make that deadline because of a couple of class complication times, then I will graduate December 2010, at the latest!!!! I'm FINALLY into my major and I'm excited to take the classes and learn. I was accepted to the Finance major and hope to specialize in investing, so Dave & I can use it in our real lives.

Other than that, not too much has been going on. Just trying to get enough sleep and get everything done all at the same time! Dave and I are still really pushing growing our Happy Pets business, so a bit of money has been going towards that. It's a bit stressful, at times, but hopefully all our efforts will pay off...and hopefully it will be SOON!

Okay, so I'll do a freaking blog, but no promises on keeping this updated every day! Besides, life doesn't change too much...so I'll just update it when it does! So be happy!

So life for us is going good. I (Stephanie) am going to school and working at In-N-Out. My school classes aren't that exciting (Accounting 202, Finite Math, Philosophy, and Communications 202). I actually don't really care for my Philosophy class at all. My teacher seems to teach us the same topic each class and I'm pretty sure is trying to convince us to all be Athiests. It's a little annoying, not just to me either, but to quite a few students. Oh well. I'm halfway through the semester already. In-N-Out is awesome, though! I love working there! I've already gotten 1 raise and am hoping to get another one soon. They made me safety supervisor there, so I get to make sure everyone is being safe. Today we got some new hires at the store, so I got to show them around and felt all special and important! It was fun. I really enjoy it there, though. It is a good, fun working place!

As far as life for Dave...well he just got done this week servicing our 100 located vending machines (we still have like, 20 machines in the garage we need to locate...). That business is going well, but we plan to make some changes for the better to make more money faster! Our dog business is really getting official now! We have an official name, "Happy Pets" and even our own website!!! Check us out! It's www.happypetslv.com. We just sent out 6,000 mailers to houses near ours, and hope to get a lot of response from that! So we are very excited about everything finally coming together!

I've been working out with my sister-in-law, Deanna, a lot lately. We've been going to the gym at 5:30am every morning until 7am and doing hardcore cardio and weight lifting. I've lost 3 lbs already & I don't expect that to be the end! Dave goes and plays raquetball with his brother, Damon, every Monday, and every Wednesday goes to play hockey on his hockey team.

I don't think I'll really be posting too many pictures on this thing because I already put a lot on flickr (plus we don't really take that many pictures), but maybe if I do any videos, I will! If you want to check out our photos on flickr, the website is http://www.flickr.com/photos/55971412@N00/
I think that link works...let me know if it doesn't!

I think that's it for now. I hope I've satisfied your need for knowing what's going on with us! Love yall!
