Events in January and February

Here is just a few pictures of some events that happened at the beginning of the year. I would like to point out that, school-wise, I was very proud when I found out that I was on the Dean's List from the previous semester! Just one year left and I'll be done!!!

So, in February, was Dave and my 2nd anniversary. He got me some roses and a yummy Dove chocolate rose. It was a sweet gesture especially because Dave doesn't like buying things that will just "die in a couple of days". It was very sweet, though.

We went up to Mt Charleston (about an hour drive north of Vegas) to have some fun before all the snow melted away. The snow up there was crazy deep! If you didn't walk on the "already walked" parts, then you were thigh deep in snow. It was quite the workout if you got off the path. We were able to do some sledding on a steep and fast slope and build a pretty awesome snowman!

Below you can see some pictures of our snowman...he is a meaner one, though, but a pretty creative one!

The snowman is eating Dave's hand!!! Ahhhh!!!

Oh no, I fell! He's going to get me!

Some fun sledding pics, only sledding with inflatable tubes that popped too early than we wanted and on boogie boards. We had to improvise with what we had!

Yeah, that's right, I'm sledding with a boogie board, haha.

This is me after I fell off of the boogie board. At the end of the slope, there was a quick bump that would send you flying in the air. It actually wasn't that bad, but Dave decided to kick some snow in my face to get the "in the action" picture. haha, silly Dave.

Getting some air...

Okay, I just want to say that I am not a very creative person. It is a rare thing if something creative comes out of my head. However, I was sooo proud of my concoction for my Valentine's "card" for Dave. I got a bunch of colored paper and cut it into the cutest little heart person. My letter was like his tongue. I was so proud! It's still on the wall in our office! I'm never throwing that away! It took me a couple of hours in the wee-morning to do it! What do you think?

So here's a pic of one of my shopping escapades. I was able to get all this (worth $111) for only $37! Awesome, huh? Couponing has been really fun. I love seeing the cents shaved off my final grocery bill!

So in February, my parents came to visit!!!! Yay! My dad came for some medical lectures and training, and my mom came along. I was so happy they came! We got to do so many fun things (things that Dave and I haven't been able to do because mostly everything fun is so expensive in Las Vegas!!). My parents were here for a few days and we definately made the most of it! I asked off work so I could spend all day with them! My mom took me shopping and got me lots of CUTE new clothes (I haven't shopped in so long and felt like all I wore was t-shirts). We got to see "Ka", and it was AWESOME!!! I recommend it to everyone!

While they were here, we also got to eat at the top of the Stratosphere at the restaurant where the whole restaurant turns 360 degrees in an hour. We were able to see the whole city. It was such a cool sight!

Here are Dave and I at the top of the Stratosphere trying to get the background of the strip.

This picture is more blurry, but you can see the lights of the city a lot better.

Here was my dessert while we were eating at the Stratosphere. Its a chocolate replica! It was so delicious!!!!

It was awesome getting to have some one-on-one time with my parents. Usually when we see them we are with the rest of the family, which is still fun and awesome, but it's nice to have some alone time too.

My parents are so awesome. They really do so much for Dave and I, and I am so grateful for them! I love you, Mom and Dad!

Videos from December - Sorry about the delay...

So, I had these videos that I meant to post on here a while ago...so here they are. Better late than never!

So back in December when it snowed like crazy, I took some videos of the funness. This first one is the dogs trying to eat the snowflakes. It was pretty funny watching them try to catch them!

This next one is a video of Eric surfing down the driveway. We were playing with the boogie board mostly because, really, who has snow stuff here? Eric did try to use his snowboard, but the boogie board was much more fun. I was able to start at the top of the driveway and slide all the way to the middle of the street! It was so awesome!

Dave tried jumping on the very snowy tramp later that night. It was pretty difficult!

Finally, when Doug and Dawn were visiting for the Christmas break, Doug and his daughter, Makenna, created a song about all the Hardy kids. It was very good and really creative!
